When you are talking about programs for ODT, it is impossible not to immediately think about LibreOffice. LIbreOffice is a project born from a rib of OpenOffice.org whose development has surpassed that of the original software in quality and quantity. As easily understood, it is a formidable one free alternative to Microsoft Office which supports the file formats of the Microsoft suite but uses the open ones as default, as is precisely theODT. It supports formatting in markdown (a system much loved by geeks to format texts while keeping them in plain text format) allowing you to view a real-time preview of documents in their rich text version. As his name easily suggests, Universal viewer is a free application definable as universal viewer through which it is possible to view various formats of digital documents. It supports all major digital photo formats (including over 40 types of RAW formats), video files (e.g. AVI MPG WMV MP3 MP4 FLV MKV, etc.), Office files, PDFs, Web pages and documents in format ODT.
