How to Save Aruba Pec Messages

Have you received an important message on your Aruba PEC mailbox, would you like to keep it so that you can also retrieve it offline, but you don't know how to proceed? Do you need to save the emails received on your certified mailbox, to keep a backup on your computer, but you don't know which solution to adopt? If these are some of the questions you are asking yourself, you will be happy to know that you have come to the right place at the right time.

In fact, in today's guide, I'll show you how to save Aruba PEC messages on your computer, be it a PC animated by the Windows operating system or a Mac. I will therefore show you how to perform this operation through the Webmail panel of the PEC, in order to export individual messages or entire folders and, in the case in which I had configured the PEC in a "traditional" e-mail client (eg Outlook or Apple Mail), I will explain how to export messages through the latter.

How to Save Messages on Aruba PEC

For save messages on Aruba PEC, you can act directly through the Webmail panel, using the export tools made available by the famous Italian company. In the next chapters I will explain in detail how to save a single certified email message (EML) or an entire folder in MBOX.

Single Messages

The first thing you need to do is to access the Webmail of the PEC Aruba, using the login credentials associated with your PEC. If you don't know how to access, you can consult my guide on how to enter Aruba's PEC.

In the main Webmail panel, click on the tab Messages, which you find on the left, and access one of the folders that are shown to you, such as Incoming mail or Mail sent. Now, to save a single certified email message, double-click on it - this will display the email in a new tab.

Fatto ciò, first prize Other, which you find in the area above, and select one of the options that are shown to you for exporting the message: you can choose whether to save it on the local disk as MIME, EML o RTF.

By choosing the option Export message source MIME, a file will be downloaded TXT containing the message encoded with the information relating to its header. In case you have to choose the items Export EML message o Export as an RTF documentinstead, the message will be downloaded in the respective formats EML e RTF. The format RTF includes only the text message, while with that EML attachments can also be kept in a single file.

As an alternative to the procedure mentioned above, you can decide to print the PEC message on paper or on file in PDF format. After opening a message by double clicking on it, press the button Printat the top and select the physical or virtual printer (PDF), to keep a copy of the message.

MBOX Folder

If your intent is to download multiple messages at the same time or an entire folder of the PEC box on your computer's local disk, what you need to do is reach the Aruba PEC webmail and log on with your credentials.

At this point, click on the tab Messages, which you find on the left, and select a folder among those that are shown to you. Now, click on the box next to each message to select the ones you want to download. Once this is done, press the button Other actionsat the top and select the item Export message (s), to download the file MBOX containing all the messages you selected.

If you want to save all the messages contained in a folder, instead, right-click on it and select, from the context menu, the item Export folder, to download it as a MBOX.

How to Save Aruba PEC Messages on PC

In case you have configured the PEC of Aruba in a e-mail client, what you have to do is use the tools provided by the software to export a copy of the message to your computer.

In the next chapters I will explain how to do this using the default e-mail clients of Windows 10 e MacOS or using Thunderbird, a well-known free email management software, made by Mozilla.

In case you do not yet use an e-mail client to manage your PEC and you want to start doing it now, you can follow the instructions in this guide to correctly configure the Aruba PEC in your favorite e-mail program.

Windows 10 Mail

Through the application Mail di Windows 10, which is already pre-installed in the Microsoft operating system, you can easily manage the Aruba certified mailbox. After configuring the IMAP and SMTP access to the PEC server, you will find all the folders and email messages on the main application screen Mail.

To save a message, click on a folder you find on the sidebar, for example Incoming mail, and click the message you want to save on your computer. In the top bar, then press onicon with the three points and choose the item Save with name from the box that is shown to you.

At this point, in the new screen that is shown to you, choose the folder on your computer in which to keep the message and press the button Save, to confirm the saving of the same in EML format.

The files in EML format do not need third party software to be viewed on Windows 10. You can simply use the same Mail application to do this, as I explained to you in this guide.

Do you want to keep a copy of the PEC message on paper or in digital format, such as the PDF one? In this case, you can print the message, using the appropriate function Print, present in the menu accessible by clicking on theicon with three dots, after selecting the message.

Apple Email (macOS)

If you own a Poppy, the management of e-mail, including the PEC of Aruba, can be done through the free application Mail, already installed "standard" in macOS. After setting up the PEC account in Mail using the IMAP and SMTP parameters provided by Aruba, you can proceed with the steps necessary to save the e-mail messages on the Mac.

Then start Mail and select the mailbox you want to save, using the items in the left side section. In the menu bar at the top, click on the item box and, in the box that appears, select the option Export mailbox.

At this point, you will be shown a screen through which you will have to select the destination folder in which to keep the file in MBOX. After clicking on the folder in question, press the button Choose, to start exporting Aruba PEC messages.

If, on the other hand, you want to save a single message, you have to count on its export in PDF format or print it on paper. In the first case, click on the items Fillet > Export as PDF in the top menu, for saving as PDF. In the second case, select the items Fillet > Print from the top menu and follow the instructions on the screen to print the PEC message on paper.

Mozilla Thunderbird (Windows / MacOS / Linux)

If you want to use third-party solutions, equipped with more complete tools for exporting e-mail messages to the local disk of your computer, I suggest you use the famous free software Thunderbird. If you don't know it, you can very well consult this guide of mine, in which I tell you in detail on how to download and install this email client on Windows and macOS, and then how to use it.

Thunderbird is an e-mail client to receive and send messages, both standard and PEC, via the IMAP / POP3 and SMTP protocols. After you have successfully configured your Aruba PEC account in Thunderbird, you can save a single message by clicking on it and selecting the item Save eat from the menu that opens. Next, you can choose the destination folder and the format of the output file, opting for EML, HTML o TXT.

If you want a more advanced tool for exporting single messages or entire folders, I recommend using the free add-on ImportExportTools. NG to Thunderbird. To install it, visit the page I just linked to and click on the button download for free. Then click on the icon , which you find at the top right of the main Thunderbird screen, and choose the item Additional components give riquadro che visualizzi.

At this point, select the item Extensions from the left sidebar, click onicona dell'ingranaggio located at the top right, choose the item Install add-on from file from the proposed menu and select the file .xpi that you downloaded just now. Then press the buttons Install adesso Restart now, in the screens that are shown to you, and the add-on will be installed.

Perfect, we're almost there! Now you just have to right-click on the folder containing the messages you want to save and select items ImportExportTools NG > Export folder messages > come file EML from the menu that opens, to save individual messages in the format EML. Alternatively, you can proceed with exporting the entire folder in MBOX, choosing the items ImportExportTools NG > Export remote folder.

If you want to save one or more single messages, instead, access the folder which contains the messages to save, select them and right-click on them. In the context menu you see, then select the item Save selected messages and choose one of the available formats, such as EML, HTML, TXT, MBOX, PDF o CSV.

In addition to the procedure that I indicated to you in the previous paragraphs, you can save a PEC message by printing it on paper, right-clicking on it and choosing, from the contextual menu, the item Print. Then follow the instructions on the screen to send the PEC message to the printer and that's it.
