How to Damage a File

Have you decided to put a strain on your friend's coronaries, making him believe that his precious research has been lost, but you don't know how to put your diabolical plan into action? Don't let anyone know about it, but I know of an online service that's right for you. It is about File Destructor, a generator of corrupted files of all kinds.

Thanks to this site, you will be able to create a fake copy of your friend's research and replace it with the original file (which in the meantime you will have saved in a safe place). This way, you can make the joke victim believe that their file has been corrupted and gone forever. Here how to damage a file (pretend) using it.

The first thing you need to do before you find out how to damage a file with File Destructor is to copy the original file in a safe place (eg on a USB stick) and discover all its features, which will serve you to generate a fake damaged file that looks 100% the original one.

Then write down the name of the file, its type (eg. doc if it's a Word file, pdf if it is a pdf document, etc.) and access its properties by selecting it with the right mouse button and clicking on the item Property of the menu that opens, to discover yours Dimensions in byte.

Now that you know all the details of the original file, you are ready to replace it with a damaged copy. Then connect to the File Destructor website and use the form in the center of the page to specify the name of the original file (File name), its size in bytes (File size, to be written without points) and its type (File extension).

Once you have filled out the form, click on the red button Destruct and save file and confirm the file download. This way, you will have obtained a seemingly identical copy of your friend's document that is completely unusable.

At this point, all you have to do is take the damaged document you just downloaded and copy it to the folder where your friend's original document was before you moved it. If, as in my example, you have decided to damage a file in Word (doc) format, the picture that the victim of the joke will find when he tries to open the file will be the following: diabolical, right?
