Last but not least, know that PS2 games can show up in various image file formats: ISO, IMG, BIN + CUE or MDF + MDS. How to Burn PS2 Games with Windows
Is the PS2 game you intend to burn in ISO format? Well, if you are using Windows 10, Windows 8 / 8.x or Windows 7 I am happy to inform you that you can transfer it to CD and DVD without having to resort to the use of third party programs. In fact, you can do everything by acting from the context menu of the operating system. How? I'll explain it to you right away.
First, insert a blank disk into the burner connected to your computer, then right-click on theISO file icon of the game and choose the item from the menu that appears Burn disc image.
In the window that will now be shown to you, use the drop-down menu CD burner to select the burner, then click on the Burn button, in order to start writing the disc. Et voila!
How to Burn PS2 Games with MacOS
Also MacOS integrates a function through which you can burn image files without having to resort to the use of third-party programs. If you want and if the PS2 game you own is in ISO format, then you can use it for your purpose.
In this case, insert a blank disk into the burner connected to the Mac, right click on theISO file icon of the PlayStation 2 game you intend to burn and select the item Burn “[file name.iso]” disc image to disc from the displayed context menu.
In the window that appears on the desktop, use the menu Burn disc to select the reference burner, set a low writing speed (ex. 8x o 16x) from the drop-down menu Speedclick on your bottone Burn located at the bottom and start the writing procedure by pressing the appropriate button.
If at the end of the burn you also want the disk to be checked, before clicking on the button to proceed with writing the disk, select the option Verify burned data.
How to Burn PS2 Games with ImgBurn
If you are looking for an alternative for Windows to burn PS2 games, I strongly suggest that you consider using ImgBurn. If you have never heard of it (weird, it's very famous!), I inform you that it is a renowned no-cost software for burning CDs, DVDs and Blu-Ray. Considering that its main functions are dedicated to the creation and burning of image files, it is particularly suitable for the implementation of the operation object of the tutorial.
To download the program to your PC, visit its website, click on the link Mirror x – Provided by MajorGeeks and, in the new page displayed, click on the item [email protected]. Then, go to this other page and wait for the download of the file to translate the interface of ImgBurn into Italian is started and completed.
At this point, open the file .exe obtained and, in the window that is shown to you on the screen, click on the buttons Yes e Next, select the voice I accept the terms of the License Agreement, click on the button again Next (four consecutive times) and finish the setup by pressing the buttons Yes e Close.

Another software you can refer to burn PS2 games to Windows è CDBurnerXP. It is free, easy to use and is also available in a variant that does not require installation. It allows you to copy and burn CDs and DVDs and to modify image files. In the specific case of PlayStation 2 video games, you can use it to burn the related ISO files.
To download the version of the program that does not require installation on your PC, visit its CDBunrerXP website, click on the item More download options that you find at the top and on the link 64bit or on that 32-bit (x64 compatible) (depending on the version of Windows you are using) that you find next to the wording Portable version.

How to Burn PS2 Games with Nero
Have you ever heard of Black? No? Strange! It is practically one of the most renowned tools for what concerns the burning. However, no problem, I can explain everything to you. It is a very famous suite of programs for Windows which includes various tools for writing and formatting CDs and DVDs. Unfortunately, however, it is not free. There basic version, the one that includes only the software to burn, costs 49,95 euros, while the Platinum Suite and Standard Suite, which incorporate more advanced functions and tools, cost 42,95 euros and 79,95 euros respectively. In all cases, however, you can download a free trial version that works without limitations for 14 days.
Personally, to write this step, I used the trial version of Nero Burning ROM. To download it yourself, visit the Nero website and click on the button Download placed next to the software name. Then type your e-mail address in the appropriate field displayed on the screen and click on the button Download now. Now that you see the main program screen, click on the button Nero Burning ROM and close the screen New compilation you see appear. If any windows open through which you are invited to switch to the paid version of the program, close those too.
Now, select the item Burner present at the top left, choose the option Burn Image and open the PS2 game image file. If you have a combination of MDF / MDS images you must select the MDS file, while if you have a combination of BIN / CUE you must select the CUE file.
In conclusion, choose a low writing speed (ex. 8x or 16x) from the drop-down menu Writing speed, check the box Check the written data if at the end of the process you intend to check the burned disc and, finally, press the button Write located at the bottom. It is paid (costs 39,00 euros), but is available in a free trial version lasting 30 days (subsequently you must purchase a license to use it) that supports all major image file formats, including those of PlayStation games. 2. At this point, click on the button forward, set the write speed as low as possible (ex. 8x) from the drop-down menu of the same name and start burning the game by clicking on Start. Stai using MacOS and you are looking for an alternative tool to what your Mac offers as standard to burn PS2 games, I recommend that you evaluate the use of Burn Energy Drink. It is a totally free application, very easy to use and which allows you to burn data discs, audio CDs, video DVDs and ISO files.
To download Burn on your Mac, visit the program's website and click on the link Download Burn that you find on the right.
Once the download is complete, extract theZIP archive obtained, drag theBurn icon in the folder Applications macOS, right-click on it and select the item apri from the menu that appears, in order to start the program by going around the limitations imposed by Apple on applications from non-certified developers (an operation that must be performed only at the first start).
Now, insert a blank disk into the burner connected to your computer and select the card Copy in the Burn window that in the meantime has opened on the desk, then drag the image file of the game and press the button Burn.
