Do your friends complain because your line is always busy every time they try to call you? Well, it is understandable: you are always on the phone and therefore being able to "catch" you when the line is free is difficult. In my opinion, to solve, or at least reduce, the problem you should activate the call waiting service.
By activating the call waiting service on your mobile phone and / or on your landline number, you will receive acoustic signals or SMS that will alert you when someone tries to call you while your line is busy: by doing so, you can evaluate whether to interrupt the conversation to accept the incoming call or whether to continue your chat and have someone attempting to call you wait while your line was busy.
Are you wondering how much it costs to enable call waiting? Don't worry, we are talking about a free service: all major national operators allow you to use it at no cost. Different speech, however, applies to alerts via SMS, but we are still talking about ridiculous costs (which hardly exceed 10 euros per year). So, what do you think? Are you ready to find out how to activate call waiting and never miss any important calls again? If your answer is yes, keep reading: find all the information you need right below.
Activate TIM Call Waiting
If you want to activate call waiting and you have a line TIM, know that you have two options at your disposal: request the activation of the standard call waiting, free of charge, to receive an acoustic signal in case of incoming calls while the line is busy, or activate the LoSai and ChiamaOra service, which to a few euros every two months offers the possibility of receiving SMS relating to calls received while the line was busy. Here are all the details.
Standard Call Waiting
If you want to activate the call waiting service on your TIM mobile phone, april il dialer, ie the screen for dialing telephone numbers (it should be indicated by a handset icon), calls up the keypad and dial the code * 43 #. Then press the button to start the call (it should be the green handset) and wait a few moments: a message on the screen should confirm the activation of the service. Subsequently, you can verify the activation of the service by typing the code * # # 43.
If you have one TIM fixed line, you can activate the call waiting service by requesting it from 187 (if you don't know how to talk to a TIM operator, consult my guide on this) and then typing the code * 43 # on your phone keypad. The service is also free in this case.
Once call waiting is activated, if you receive a phone call while your line is busy, you can choose whether to put the current conversation on hold and accept the incoming call (key R2 on the fixed phone or dedicated button on the smartphone), whether to end the conversation in progress and switch to the other ( R1 on the desk phone or dedicated button on the smartphone) or whether to send the call to the answering machine.
In case of second thoughts, however, you can deactivate the call waiting TIM typing the code # 43 # on your smartphone or landline. More info here.
LoSai and ChiamaOra Service
If you prefer SMS alerts to the classic call alert via acoustic signal, you can activate the service LoSai and ChiamaOra by TIM which, for 1,90 euros every two months (or 96 cents every two months for subscription customers), allows you to have SMS notifications if you receive calls while your line is busy or unreachable. It also lets you know when a number currently unavailable (because it is busy or unreachable) becomes free.
To activate TIM's LoSai and ChiamaOra, call the 40920 from your mobile phone and follow the instructions of the voice guide. Alternatively, access the MyTIM Mobile service from your computer and request the activation of the service from the management panel of your line. However, I tend not to recommend their use, as these are third-party solutions that require you to enter your number and may not always work perfectly.
