With today's guide, we'll see how to edit MOV video on Windows and Mac OS X using some of the best programs suitable for the purpose. In this way you will be able to edit your movies with absolute ease, remove unnecessary scenes, eliminate visual imperfections and much more. So, what are you waiting for to get to work?
Be vuoi scoprire how to edit MOV video on Windows, I recommend you try Avidemux. It is a video editing program that I have also told you in the past that allows you to edit, cut and apply many effects to digital videos. It supports all major media file formats (including MOV) and is very easy to use.
To download Avidemux on your PC, connect to the program's website and click on the item Berlios placed under the Windows logo. When the download is complete, double-click on it to open the file you just downloaded (eg. avidemux_2.6.5_win32.exe) and, in the window that opens, first click on Yes and then Next, I Agree, Next three consecutive times, install e Finish to finish the installation process and start Avidemux.
For editare video MOV with Avidemux, click on sull'icona della blue folder located at the top left and select the movie to edit. So wait for the video to be imported (the duration of the process will depend on the duration of the video and the power of the PC in use) and start tweaking it according to your needs.
If you want to cut an unnecessary scene in the movie, mark the start and end points of the scene using the buttons A e B placed under the Avidemux timeline and press the button Canc on the PC keyboard. To access the library of filters applicable to video, instead, select the item filters from the menu Video and, in the window that opens, browse all the available effects according to the various categories (colors to adjust the colors, transform to trim or rotate the movie, and so on).
Once you have applied all the changes to the video, proceed to save it by selecting the video codec to use for encoding from the drop-down menu Video output, the file format in which to save the movie from the menu Output format and click on the floppy disk which is located at the top left. If you are unable to open MOV videos with Avidemux, try installing QuickTime Player on your PC.
If you own a Poppy and not a Windows PC, you can also use Avidemux to edit MOV files but if you don't need to apply particularly advanced filters to your videos, you can rely on QuickTime Player which is installed "stock" in OS X.
Just open the movie and select options to retouch it from the menu Composition of the program. I've explained everything to you in detail in some guides, like the one on how to rotate a Mac video and how to trim a video on Mac.
